Application Process

Applying for Enrollment

If you are interested in applying for enrollment at Lake Harriet Montessori School, the first step is to email the school with the following information:

  • Parent(s) Names and Emails
  • Prospective Student(s) Names and Ages
  • Desired Start Date
  • Full-time or Part-time

When a spot becomes available, you will be contacted and asked if you are still interested and when you would like to tour our school.  Our school director Gay Canseco will conduct tours, providing information about the Montessori philosophy and the activities of “the prepared environment.”  Children are welcome on tours as well.

Following a tour, if you would like to enroll your child, you will be asked to complete the enrollment packet and pay the $75 registration fee.  Enrollment packets must be received within two weeks of your tour date in order to secure enrollment.  All information must be returned before the child can be enrolled in the LHMS program.

Immunization form and health care summary are required by state. As a licensed child care provider, we are required to document that all children have up-to-date immunization and a health summary.

LHMS accepts children between the ages of 2 years 9 months and 6 years, as long as they appear to be intellectually and emotionally mature enough to benefit from the school environment.  All children need to be fully potty trained.  LHMS accepts students regardless of race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.
